January 2017 Wrap Up!

In the month of January, I read a total of 6 books. I am very proud of this as my average is normally just 4 or 5. I listened to 3 audiobooks and read 3 physical books. I will link to the book’s GoodReads page and the author’s website. Let’s just get into this!

The first book that I read for the year was A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. I gave this 5 out of 5 stars.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I’ve heard several times from several trusted sources that the second is so much better than the first and I just can’t imagine how it can get better! I’m excited to get to the second book!

The second book I read this month was the manga Orange by Ichigo Takano. I gave this 5 out of 5 stars.

I adored this. It was a cute little romance. I read it in a day but that’s not surprising since it’s a manga. I cannot wait to get around to reading the second volume. I could read it online but I want to read it in physical form. If anyone knows where I can get cheap manga, let me know! I got this from BookOutlet but they don’t have a very large selection.

I listened to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll this month. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars.

I definitely enjoyed this. The world of Wonderland always intrigues me and after reading Heartless last year, I just had to reread this. The cover that I put above is the special edition that came in OwlCrate along with Heartless.

The next two books I’ll put together since they go together. I listened to Hunger Games and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. I gave both 4 out of 5 stars.

I enjoyed these two books, probably not as much as everyone else seems to. But that could be because I watched the first two movies before reading the books. I’m almost done with the third book then I’ll be able to watch the last two movies.

The sixth and last book that I read was Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I gave this 4 out of 5 stars.

I absolutely loved this book. I am not huge with sci-fi, robot books. They never intrigued me. I never would have picked this up if it weren’t for BookTube. I took away a star because it was pretty predictable to me. I have no regrets, except not picking it up earlier or picking up the rest of the series! I adored this book and can’t wait to get the second.

Thank you for reading my wrap up! If you would like to purchase any of these books, click the image and it’ll bring you to the Book Depository page! Let me know your thoughts on any of these books. 1. Have you considered reading nonfiction?

I really enjoy it because it allows me to learn the lessons that successful people learned the hard way, from the comfort of where ever I might be reading.

If you are interested in the nonfiction I have been reading, or if you want to know what the benefits are from reading this genre in specific, please stop by my page. I post book reviews over biographies, classics, and inspiring nonfiction.

    1. Thank you for recommending your page! I’ll check it out! I’m not very big with nonfiction. In the past I haven’t been able to get into it very easily. I would like to read more of it and I hope your page will help with that!
