Bookish Wednesday: Hamilton Book Tag

Just like pretty much anyone else that has listened to anything Hamilton, I’m obsessed. I know the first act by heart. I’m still working on the second act but I can’t seem to make it that far normally. I have to start from the beginning every time so by the time the second act comes along, I have to stop listening.

I’m not sure who created this so if you know, let me know please. I want to give them credit. I wasn’t tagged by anyone, either. Well, let’s not waste anytime. Let’s do this.

The Room Where It Happens: A Book World You Would Put Yourself In

This one was a tough one. There are so many that I would like to live in after all the conflicts from the books. So I decided to go with a book I haven’t read yet. I would love to live in the story of By Your Side by Kasie West. I would love to be stuck in a library. I mean, I’d like to have my son with me but being surrounded by books like that would be heavenly. You can purchase this book from Amazon by clicking on the photo.

The Schyuler Sisters: An Underrated Female Character

I’d have to say Liza from Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco. She was such a small character, I think she only pops up twice in the story but she was such a huge character. She was Audrey Rose’s cousin and she had the opposite views on how Audrey Rose was acting. She didn’t seem too eager to change how her life was but she supported Audrey Rose in doing what she wanted to do. She was one of the only people in Audrey Rose’s life that supported her.

My Shot: A Person Who Goes After What They Want And Doesn’t Let Anyone Stop Them

There are so many people that would fit for this one. It was hard to choose and I didn’t want to repeat any answers but I couldn’t help myself. I absolutely love this character so I couldn’t not mention him any chance I can. I’d have to say that Rhysand from A Court of Thorns and Roses and A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas. There will be spoilers following so if you don’t want to read any, skip to the next question! You can purchase these books from Amazon by clicking the images.

In the first book you don’t see very much of Rhys getting what he wants but it’s all revealed in the second book. In ACOMAF, Rhys explains how he kept the good half of his land hidden from everyone for hundreds of years. He kept his people safe from Amarantha’s attacks because of this. He became her pet just so that he could continue to keep them safe. He would do anything to continue keeping his people safe, no matter what the risk would be to him.

Stay Alive: A Character You Wish Was Still Alive

SPOILERS (Obviously)!

The first book that popped into my head was Heartless by Marissa Meyer. I wish that Jest lived. Obviously, I knew from the beginning that he was going to die but it was still just as heartbreaking as it would have been if I didn’t know. If only he would have lived! Cath would have become a baker and they would have lived happily ever after. This book killed my feels. The picture is of the cover that was exclusive to OwlCrate but you can purchase the original from Amazon by clicking the photo.

It’s Quiet Uptown: A Book That Made You Ugly Cry

I don’t even have to think about this one. The Outsiders by SE Hinton. Every time. I decided to choose a very happy gif to go with a super depressing subject. I won’t get into it for spoiler purposes but if you’ve read this book, you know what I’m talking about. You can purchase this book from Amazon by clicking the photo.

Burn: The Most Heartbreaking Ending To A Relationship You’ve Read

I really didn’t want to repeat another answer or I would have mentioned Heartless again but I was looking through my read books and saw The Fault In Our Stars by John Green. That definitely fits. I think everyone pretty much knows how this book ends but I won’t spoil it for anyone. You can purchase this book from Amazon by clicking on the photo.

You’ll Be Back: Sassiest Villain

I tried so hard to figure out an answer for this. I just couldn’t figure one out. I even looked at several other people’s answers. I hadn’t read any of the books they mentioned! Or I haven’t gotten to the point where I would count them as sassy. So, let me know some sassy villians that you all know about!

The Reynolds Pamphlet: A Book With A Twist You Didn’t See Coming

I decided to change this question up a bit. This plot twist I didn’t see coming wasn’t at the end but in Vampire Knight by Matsuri Hino. SPOILERS!!! I definitely did not see that Yuuki would end up being Kaname’s sister. Talk about awkward. I shipped them the whole time!

Vampire Knight

Non-Stop: A Series You Marathoned

So, this is a book that I haven’t marathoned yet but I plan on marathoning at some point. Well, there’s two. I want to marathon The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo and the rest of the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. You can buy each book from Amazon by clicking the covers.

Satisfied: Favorite Book With Multiple POVs

This one was a tough one to figure out. I couldn’t think of any books that I’ve read that were in multiple POVs. I was going through my read books on GoodReads and about slapped myself. Dark Places by Gillian Flynn. This book surprised me a little bit. It was mostly predictable for me but I didn’t see the end coming completely. I enjoyed the fact that this book was told in several different POVs and time periods. It helped to enhance the story in my opinion. You can buy this book from Amazon by clicking the photo.

Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story: A Book/Series You Think Will Be Remembered Throughout History

I was trying to think of a good answer for this one and I really didn’t want to take the easy way out but I decided that I’m just going to. Harry Potter. I feel like Harry Potter will be a book series that will continue to be read and loved by many people to come. I am reading this series for the first time now and I’m enjoying it at 21 years old. There are some things that I see wrong with it but they aren’t major enough to really take too much from the series.

Helpless: A Relationship You Were Pulling For From the Start

I didn’t even have to think about this one. Feyre and Rhysand. I’m about half done with ACOMAF and as soon as Rhys showed up in ACOTAR, I knew that I was going to fall in love with him. And guess what, I did! Feyre needs Rhys in her life. You can purchase these books by clicking the pictures of the covers above.

Ten Duel Commandments: Favorite Fight Scene

So, this one is going to be interesting. The book that I chose is one that I DNFed, actually. The only reason I chose a certain scene in this book is because I literally laughed out loud when it happened. The book is Beautifully Damaged by LA Fiore. There is one point where Ember is being harassed by some drunk in a bar and she ends up punching him in the face. I don’t know if you can really count that as a fight but it was hilarious to me. You can read my full semi-spoiler review here for the reasoning I DNFed it. You can purchase this book yourself from Amazon by clicking on the photo.

Say No To This: Guilty Pleasure Read

100% Fruits Basket by Natsuki Takaya. It’s a cheesy romance that I have read several times over. I love just kicking back and bringing myself back into my teenage years when I was reading any and all shoujo manga that I could find online. You can purchase the first volume from Amazon by clicking on the photo. The cover I have shown is the original cover. They have since changed it and aren’t producing this cover anymore.

What Comes Next: A Series You Wish Had More Books

There are so many books that I wish would have more just in the world. The stories may be finished, but it would be nice to see more of the world that the author created. I hate that I’m repeating answers but this is one that I want the most. I would love to see more stories in the world of ACOTAR. I want to see how the take over of Amarantha affected other lands and how they worked to repair afterward.

Right Hand Man: Favorite BROTP

Once again, mentioning ACOTAR. If you haven’t noticed, I’m obsessed. I love the bromances between Rhys, Cassian, and Azriel. I laugh every time the three of them are together.

What’d I Miss: A Book/Series You Were/Still Are Late Reading

So, this is kind of a cheat answer but all of them. I am so behind on reading everything. If you would like to hear my “reading story” let me know!

Well, that’s it! Not much else to say. Let me know one of your answers to any of these questions. Happy reading!
