Netflix Book Tag

Two of the things I’m addicted to. Books and Netflix. Um, can I just say yes?

Alright. I found this on AbigailHaleigh‘s BookTube channel. Here’s the link to her video! I’m unsure of the creator, though. So now that that’s out of the way, let’s do this!

Recently Watched: The Last Book You Finished

This may have changed since I wrote this but as of right now (4/10/2017), it’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. This was my first read of the Harry Potter series and I definitely enjoyed it. I already know that next time I read this it’ll be to my son. Currently we’re reading Messenger then Son, both my Lois Lowry, then I’m unsure what we’ll read. But anyway, Deathly Hallows. Those feels, though.

Top Picks: A Book/Books That Have Recommended To You Based On Books You Have Previously Read

I haven’t really had any books recommended to me based on other books I’ve read but I did have one recommended to me today because I saw Beauty and the Beast. A coworker told me I should read Beauty and the Beast: Lost in a Book by Jennifer Donnelly. I’m still unsure about this just because of the reviews that I’ve been hearing about it. Maybe one day I will pick it up.

Recently Added: The Last Book You Bought

Actually, that book is coming in today! I’ll make sure to put a personal picture in here once I get it! That book, which I’m overly excited to read, is The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. I’m very excited to get into this book. I’ve heard wonderful things about it.

Popular on Netflix: Books That Everyone Knows About (2 You’ve Read and 2 You Have No Interest In)

Let’s see. Hold that thought…

Alright. After a lot of thought on this, I have decided. The two I’d like to read are The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater and Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. The ones I don’t want to read would be The Maze Runner by James Dashner and Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien. I decided to go with two that don’t own out of the ones I want to read.

Comedies: A Funny Book

I can’t really say much about the rest of the series but I’m going to say Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I personally have laughed several times at this book. But at the same time, it’s also heartbreaking and rough.

Dramas: A Character Who Is A Drama Queen/King

I spent more time than I needed to on this one. I looked at other people’s blogs and other people’s BookTube videos. Everyone was giving answers to books I hadn’t read. Then I came across someone who said a certain person from a book I haven’t read. But that brought my mind to a book series I have read that’s just drama filled completely. And that series is the Twilight series. Specifically Bella in New Moon. If that wasn’t a drama queen, I don’t know what is.

Animated: A Book With Cartoons on the Cover

Can I count this? Is this cheating? That’s okay. Orange by Ichigo Takano!

Watch It Again: A Book/Book Series That You Want To Reread

I would love to reread A Court of Thorns and Roses. Just to see how often Sarah J Maas foreshadows to what is going on. But I have way too many books to read right now that I won’t have time to reread anything.

Documentaries: A Non-Fiction Book You’d Recommend To Everyone

I haven’t read any non-fiction books completely through yet but I would have to recommend Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer. I am about halfway through this book and it’s killing me. This book gets down and dirty about the behind the scenes with factory farming and “organic” farming. Even if it doesn’t change your mind on eating meat, I feel that everyone should know what’s going on behind the scenes. Things need to change with how animals are treated, especially since they are going to end up dying so people can eat.

Action and Adventure: An Action Packed Book

I’d have to go with the Hunger Games trilogy. I wasn’t a huge fan of the series itself but I did enjoy the action of it. There was always something going on. This picture isn’t mine but if I were to buy it, I would want these covers. Maybe one day I’ll read these to my son and hopefully enjoy them more.

New Releases: A Book That Just Came Out Or Will Be Coming Out Soon That You Can’t Wait To Read

Oh man. There are so many. I can’t wait for A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas that comes out in May, Hunting Prince Dracula by Kerri Maniscalco that comes out in September, The Hate U Give which I just purchased recently. The list could go on and on but I’ll stop there.

I hope you enjoyed this! It seemed to take me a while to actually write. I kept getting distracted with reading. I had hoped that I would end up writing all of my posts ahead of Tome Topple starting but nope. I ended up getting distracted. Happy reading!
