I was going to do a resolutions update but then I realized I never even posted my resolutions! But that’s okay because they have kind of changed since then! I originally wanted to get through all of the A Song of Ice and Fire books but that’s probably not going to happen. Along with reading a classic a month. That’s not happening either. I think I’ve read one classic this year. So I’ve since failed at my reading resolutions of 2017.
So now that it’s April, I decided, why not do another one? So here’s my new 2017 Reading Resolutions.
So to start I would like to read more books that I own. I was going through my Book Hauls and realized that I did great until December. All my Christmas books is when it started. I have so many books that I haven’t read. I think I have like 95 on my shelves. So I ‘d like to get through a majority of those before I get another big batch of books. The only problem I’m seeing with this is the fact that there are so many books that I want to buy that I won’t be able to. The struggle guys. You all get it.
Another thing I’d like to accomplish this year would be to read more diverse books. I have a few on my shelves but I haven’t gotten around to reading any of them yet. I plan on reading The Hate U Give once I finish Illuminae and Gemina. Now if I can get the chance to sit down and actually read them, that’d be awesome. P.s. This was written April 16th and I may have finished at least one of them since this was written. I do hope to do a full spoiler free review on this series, though!
Let’s see. What else would I like to do by the end of the year. I would like to become a better Bookstagrammer and Book Blogger. But that’s the only things I can really think of. I don’t want to set too many goals. So that’s about it.
This post hasn’t been nearly as interesting as I originally planned but it’ll do! I hope you all enjoyed this post! A little late, as it’s April, but it came! I have so many plans for posts to come (even though a lot are tags). I’m going to go read now! Happy reading!
