**I wasn’t tagged for this, but I wanted to do it! **

 A Popular Book/Series You Didn’t Like

I am going to have to go with the Illuminae Files by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff. I just did not like this series. I thought the first one was okay and the style was interesting. But by the time I got to the second, the hype of the style was over and the second seemed too repetitive and I was just over it. I have come to realize since that I don’t like sci-fi that much so that could have a lot to do with it.

A Popular Book or Series That Everyone Seems To Hate But You Love

Hm. This one was a tough one for me to think about. I haven’t read a lot of books that people have hated. I’d probably have to say The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkins. I only read the first book and I definitely enjoyed it. Everyone else seems to hate it, but I found it interesting. I’m still debating if I want to finish the series or not though.

A Love Triangle Where The Main Character Ended Up With The Person You Did NOT Want Them To End Up With or An OTP That You Don’t Like

I really wanted to say ACOTAR but if you’ve read the whole series, you’d know that not true. So I looked at my shelves and decided to go with Heartless by Marissa Meyer. I’m sure if you’ve read it or know anything about Alice in Wonderland, you’d know why. But no spoilers!

A Popular Book Genre You Barely Reach For

I decided to change this up a bit and just go with one that I don’t enjoy. I’ve read several these past few months and I’ve come to decide that I dislike science fiction. I thought after reading Cinder that I didn’t mind sci-fi. Then I read Illuminae and Gemina and I didn’t really enjoy those. Now I’m reading a science fiction ARC and I’m not enjoying it as much as I could be. So no more sci-fi for me.

A Popular or Beloved Character That You Don’t Like

Oh man. I was going to hold off on doing this tag because I wasn’t sure what to choose for a lot of these answers, but I watched the original video recently and I had a ton of ideas. Now I’m drawing a blank again. I decided to go with Tamlin from A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas. Spoiler-ish following. I’d like to specify this is for ACOTAR. Everyone seemed to love Tamlin in the first book but I just didn’t. He was driving me nuts. I didn’t expect what happened to happen but I just didn’t like him from the beginning. I wanted to so bad but I knew as soon as Rhys popped up that I would love him. I always go for the bad boy, what can I say.

A Popular Book Trope You Are Tired Of Seeing

I could have so many for this, but a lot I can get past. The one thing that makes me DNF books is a super controlling boyfriend in romance. You know the type I mean. The super controlling kind that will punch another guy if they look at the girl in any way. I’m sick of it. Then the girl always give in instead of countering it. And even if they do counter it, the reply is always “this is so new to me and I don’t know how to act.” No. Stop. There was one book like this recently and despite the fact she hated everything he did, she still had sex with him to “get it over with.” Come on. No. How about you don’t do that. I’m to a point where I’m ready to DNF a book at over 80%, but of how controlling the guy is. He’s completely obsessed with the girl in a very unhealthy way. I just want to enjoy a nice healthy romance.

A Popular Series That You Have No Interest In Reading

I don’t plan on finishing the Illuminae Files. I can’t really think of any other ones off the top of my head. I like to give everything a try. If it’s a sci-fi, I probably won’t pick it up.

The Saying Goes “The Book Is Always Better Than The Movie” But What Movie/TV Adaptation Do You Prefer To The Book

I’d have to say that I prefer the Gossip Girl TV show to the books. I’ve read a few of the books and I honestly can say that I don’t remember any of them and I don’t care to continue. I loved the show, though. There are several shows/movies that I’ve seen without reading the books but that’s changing now. If there’s a book version of a movie I want to see, I’ll read the book first.

I’m not going to tag anyone because I don’t know too many book bloggers just yet! So if you want to be my friend, send me a message, follow me on Twitter or Instagram, and just strike up a chat!

Happy Reading!

    1. I understand some people don’t like the unreliable narrator. I’m so paranoid about the second two. I’ve heard such bad things. Even from people who liked the first.
