I have been putting off writing this post for way too long. This TBR started out fairly small. Then I just kept adding to it. I doubt I’ll get to most of these, but that’s alright! I am going to be participating in 3 readathons as of right now: Emojiathon (All Month), BookSwapAThon (June 18-24), and the 24 Hour Readathon (June 11). This will not include my TBR for BookSwapAThon or the 24 Hour Readathon (just because it’ll be whatever book I’m reading at the time).
I’m currently reading 2 books and have finished an audiobook since my May Wrap Up went up on the 28th. Let’s get into those then into the rest of my TBR.
End of Days by Susan Ee
I listened to this book on audio and finished it May 29. This is the third and final book in the Penryn and the End of Days trilogy. This story follows Penryn as she struggles to survive after angels have taken over the world. This first book in this series is Angelfall.
I personally like going into books as blind as possible so I’m going to mainly just give small general ideas of what the book is about, without spoiling anything.
A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas
Emojiathon: ☺️ Read a book that makes you happy just thinking about it
I’m 6% through this book right now and I’m loving it. Not as much as I enjoyed ACOMAF but I’m definitely enjoying it. In case you don’t know. This is the third book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series. It follows Feyre as she deals with the consequences of killing a fae (spelling?).
Justice League vs Suicide Squad by Joshua Williamson
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley and DC Comics for my honest review. This comic comes out June 27th, 2017. It’s about the famous Justice League trying to stop the infamous Suicide Squad.
Thank you so much NetGalley and DC Comics for sending me this comic. I can’t wait to finish it.
I’ll Give You The Sun by Jandy Nelson
Emojiathon: 👬 Read a book about a marginalized group
All I know about this book is that it’s about a set of twins that are growing apart.
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell
Emojiathon: 🎁 Read a book that was gifted to you
I’m going to be receiving this book for BookSwapAThon and you’ll have to check out my TBR for that when it’s closer to the start date for that. I just know that this is a book that a lot of people relate to and I’m sure that I’ll be able to also!
Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia
Emojiathon: ❤️️ Read a romance/contemporary
I received this book from the May OwlCrate and I knew I was going to want to read it as soon as I heard about it. I know that it’s about a webtoon artist and I believe a FanFiction writer. I will be reading this after I finish up ACOWAR.
Incarnate by Jodi Meadows
Emojiathon: 😍 Read a book you bought because of its cover
I started reading this book when I first got it and I couldn’t get into it. Now that I’ve had some time, I’m going to try picking it up again. I discussed this more in my Book Haul Revisit. This book is the first in a trilogy about a girl who is reincarnated among the same million souls. Except she wasn’t one of the million and the soul that was supposed to reincarnate didn’t.
The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli
Emojiathon: 👶 Read a 2016/2017 release
I got this book in April’s OwlCrate and I’m super pumped for it. I can’t wait to get into this. I just know that the main character in this book has had a lot of unrequited loves. That’s about it.
Fruits Basket Vol 1 by Natsuki Takaya
Emojiathon: 🕑 Read a book in under 24 hours
This will be a reread for me. I’ve read this volume of this manga more times than I remember. I love the anime and it’s such a guilty pleasure read for me. I can’t help it. I know I’ll finish this super quick.
To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han
Emojiathon: 👀 Read a book you’ve been seeing everywhere
The third book in this series just came out recently. I’m hoping to get to the first one this month. This is about a girl who writes letters to all the boys that she used to have crushes on.
Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo
Emojiathon: 😒 Read a book that you’re annoyed at yourself for not having read yet
I read Shadow and Bone a few months ago and I want to get around to reading Six of Crows soon. But I told myself I wouldn’t until I read the Grisha Trilogy.
113 Minutes by James Patterson
Emojiathon: 🤓 Read a book without any hype
I kinda of cheated with this one. This may have a ton of hype but not in my corner of the book community. I have no idea what this book is about. I just hope that it’ll be a quick read.
The Selection by Kiera Cass
Emojiathon: 🍬 Read a book that’s like candy to you (a guilty pleasure)
I’m hoping this is a guilty pleasure read for me. I have heard that it’s like the Bachelor so that’s all I know about it.
Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs
I am listening to this on audio. I’m almost done with chapter 5. I wasn’t really that into the other two books, but I own this and it was in my Book Haul revisit, so I’m going to finish the series. This is a book about a boy who, due to certain circumstances, ends up traveling to the place where his grandfather grew up.
Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell
This is the other book that I own by Rainbow Rowell and I’d like to get to it this month after reading Fangirl. I have no idea what this is about.
Prophecy Awakened by Tamar Sloan
I received this book from NetGalley and the publisher (Clean Reads) for my honest review. It came out in April 2017.
I’m not too sure what this book is about. I’m on chapter 3 and I’m enjoying it so far. I have one problem with it but that can kind of be explained if it goes the way that I want it to. But I would like to finish this. It came out in April and I got it in May so I wasn’t in any rush to finish it because it was already out. But I definitely want to read it and finish it before I start any other ARCs.
That’s about it. There are 16 books here. I read 11 last month (thanks to manga/comics and audiobooks). I’m hoping to be able to get to all of these since I have a week off of work at the end of the month but we’ll see.
Have you read any of these? What were your thoughts?
